« Congratulations Senator Kerry! | Main | SOS »

Thank You

After the big win last week, we thought this would be a good time to take a little break, at least until all the 'SoS or Senate?' rumors die down or until the Senate returns, whichever comes first. But I caught this bit of video on NECN last night from the Veterans' Day ceremony at the State House, and we just had to say thank you to JK and to all our vets and their families for their service to our country.

These are the times that try men's souls. The summer soldier and the sunshine patriot will, in this crisis, shrink from the service of their country; but he that stands it now, deserves the love and thanks of man and woman.

Right now it looks like a Clinton administration is being set up. What a disappointment. The Chief of Staff is pushing for the Clinton people. And VP Biden thinks he has all the answers on foreign policy. I am not that confident in him or think he should run foreign policy from the VP office.

Congratulations to Sen. Kerry for being re-elected to Senate for Mass. A home grown elected representative of the State that knows the meaning of public service and duty to Country. He keeps being the patriot, focused and hard working for not only Mass but for the Country. Fought for our Country and keeps fighting for our Country.

Sen. Kerry has been proven right over and over again in foreign policy, and related national security and environmental concerns. Pres elect Obama would be wise to seek his advice. I hope it is not just to bail to him out.

Wow. Living in NY I have to hear the media reports all day long about how H. Clinton will be the next Secy of State with Sen. McCain and Sen.. Graham giving their blessings coming on Monday. They all belong to the Arm Forces Committee. Quite good pals. And deals are made. And it’s back to politics as usual.

So much for change. Foreign policy is not going to change that much now. Moderate is the buzzword of the day. Moderate – which means what? the middle, no focus, no direction , the status quo, a little change but not too much?. Sad day for some patriotic and caring people who supported Sen. Obama only to be let down and the people who opposed him and disrespected him are rewarded. That’s not bringing people together. Sen. Obama seems really ungrateful and is shortsighted and just plain wrong on this.

As for John Kerry, he will succeed in the Senate. I am not worried about him. Although he would be a hardworking and serious SOS, with his experience our Country and globally we would be in better off and secure. He has character and decency and served his Country, he knows war. I am just disillusioned that Obama will appoint a less qualified person than Kerry to SOS. And Obama does not even have the character to meet Sen. Kerry but leaked all this crap out instead. A bad sign for a leader that he can’t face people, even those who supported him.
