The Senate's back in session this week, finally, which is good for us C-SPAN junkies but a bit of a conflict for the Senator as he heads into the last stretch of the primary campaign. He was hanging out in Hopkinton yesterday, but today it's back to work for JK.
The debate with his primary challenger was aired on Sunday, and if you saw it, you know the choice is clear, we need John Kerry's voice in the Senate. The Kerry campaign followed up the debate by correcting O'Reilly's 'inaccuracies' shortly after the debate aired on WBZ. Looks like Ed got a few things wrong.
In addition to the debate with O'Reilly, Sen. Kerry has a new ad out, highlighting the issue of energy prices and his efforts in the Senate to work for relief for the coming winter.
In other news this week, Senator Kerry spoke for the Obama campaign on a conference call dealing with increased funding for cancer research, he received an endorsement from the Bay State Banner, there was more buzz about his appearance on last Sunday's This Week, and the launch of a new, independent website that has embeddable video of the Senator.
There was also a really cool piece about cycling.
"But man…O’ man… John Kerry descended like he stole the friggin’ bike from the GOP."
Love it.
Enjoy the news.
