All in two days' work. But we already knew that the Senator has no sedentary bone in his body.
Now,ordinarily I wouldn't give John Keller of WBZ TV the courtesy of a KV post. He is the Massachusetts equivalent of FOX's Bill O'Reilly - supposedly anti spin, all about fairness to the people, while in actuality a republican mouthpiece. We've met and dislike the type.
However, exceptions are made when John Kerry is involved, of course. In this case, Keller interviewed the good Senator on Tuesday and was surprisingly civil and fair. After Lisa Hughes' obligatory mention of EOR as Kerry's first primary challenger since entering the Senate, the introduction to the interview video continued with the obligatory speculation about the Senator's possibly taking on a cabinet position in an Obama administration.
Keller segued into the video with this attention grabber:
"...it was clear: John Kerry is thinking big about the future in more ways than one"

The bulk of the interview did center around whether Senator Kerry was essentially taking his re-election campaign seriously, or whether he was really looking to move up into a cabinet position if it were offered to him. Despite Keller's best efforts to get the Senator to tell him which cabinet position would be enough to tempt him, the Senator was having none of it, insisting that he was looking forward to holding a Senior Senate position under an Obama administration.
In the end, Keller had to - albeit grudgingly - admit that Senator Kerry was definitely not taking his re-election campaign for granted.
To realize that Senator Kerry does indeed take his job seriously, and cares about our state, we need to only look at the the video of his visit to New Bedford yesterday as part of the "Kerry on your Corner" initiative. New Bedford is a town on the South Shore that was hit particularly hard with the home foreclosure crisis, as evidenced in the video below.
Passage of the Housing and Economic Recovery Act of 2008 on July 30th, in which Senator Kerry had four different provisions that he detailed in the video, will enable many of the residents to keep their homes, and possibly allow for as many as 1000 more home purchases in the area. This is excellent news for Massachusetts and New Bedford - a lovely town, steeped in history and worth saving.
