"It's not gonna happen"

Damn.

OK, I've got some good news and some bad news.

First, the good news. Sen. Kerry will speak at the Democratic Convention on Wednesday. You can hear the rest from him.

Well, that was pretty clear, and I have to admit, a bit disappointing. He'd have be a brilliant VP and a fantastic President. But there's comfort in knowing that he's going to be an even more powerful Senator when Democrats take back the White House, and there aren't a whole lot of jobs more important than that, or anyone better at it than Sen. Kerry. And if Obama picks Biden, that moves JK up in the Foreign Relations Committee. Obama/Biden. I could get behind that ticket.

What I found really interesting from that interview (after recovering from the brutal realization that cell phones across the country won't have John Kerry's name splashed across them in the big announcement today) is that the Senator has never watched his own convention speech. He should. It was a beautiful and hopeful message, and it's only on looking back at that speech four years later that the full measure of what we lost in '04 is made clear.

It is time to reach for the next dream. It is time to look to the next horizon. For America, the hope is there. The sun is rising. Our best days are still to come.

Damn, he would have been one fine President, don't you think? But it is time to look at the next horizon, and our best days still lie ahead if we don't screw it up this time. What's important with respect to the coming Presidential election is that we not make the same mistake this November that half the country made in 2004. I know there's a lot of buyers' remorse out there. I know that many who fell victim to the strategically timed terror alerts and the Rovian smear campaign four years ago realize now that they were bamboozled. But what's becoming increasingly clear is that a whole lot of people didn't learn the lessons of '04 and don't understand that McCain really does represent a third Bush term, and that a big chunk of the American electorate is about to get fooled again with more of McSame. Our job is to make sure they don't.

Sen. Kerry certainly led the way for the next democratic nominee for president. His policies and programs for our security, economy, health care and the environment have been proven to be right today. He is very smart and thank goodness is still dedicated to serving our Country. We would be so much better off if Sen. Kerry was President or is VP but we know he will keep fighting for us and to lead our Country in the right direction. ( I don’t have much confidence in the other VP choices)

I hope Sen. Kerry shakes them up at the Convention, and talks about our great soldiers and how we can best serve them and our Country and that real patriotism means speaking truth to power and serving our Country. And how the Bush Administration miscues were heighten it seems by the fact that they could never admit to making a mistake and pushed away advice and at times politically attacked people who they should have listen to on foreign policy, the environment, energy innovations and the economy. Valor and honor are real and John Kerry exemplifies them by living the true patriot life.

This is the best website for Kerry info I have ever seen. I saw it mentioned in BMG. This is the Kerry that we know and the media ignores.

Is there any way that you could find the clip of Biden smashing Chris Wallace in 2004 over the Swift Boaters. It was the most spirited defense--by going on the offense---that made it to the traditional media in 2004.

Great website.
