Finally, a candidate I'm excited to support! As reported in The Democratic Daily, David Wade, Senator Kerry's Deputy Chief of Staff, has thrown his hat into the ring for the office of President of the Red Sox Nation.
Of course, I voted for David. After all, his boss did save baseball, and since JK's decided not to run, I'm throwing my support behind the next logical choice.
Wade, in an extraordinary diplay of compassion and executive decision making, revealed his goal for his first days in office:
"As president, what would be your first act?" -- Wade answered: "I never thought I'd say this, but it's time to give a full, complete and unconditional pardon to Bill Buckner. The man has suffered long enough."
True enough, President Wade. And, for those unfamiliar, this rare footage of game six provides a look back at the 1986 heartbreaker.
OK. It's been 20 years. This excellent tribute by youtuber ccma2000 should take away some of the sting.

Fun post. I can get behind a Wade candidacy, and after two decades Buckner deserves a full pardon.
