This clip of Senator Kerry at a town hall meeting in Natick, MA on June 16, comes from the Youtube video archive of John Bowes of BelowBoston.com. We love this clip at KerryVision because he says what we know to be true, John Kerry will put his Senate record up against anyone's.
We do realize here at KV that a lot of folks don't read the Congressional Record for fun. We don't really understand that, but we know it's true. </snark>
So, what of the Senator's record? We hear about some of the big issues, like Iraq and the environment, but what about all the other stuff JK does?
Senator Kerry's Senate website has a new look and a great summary of some of the work JK has done for us in the Senate recently, categorized by issue.
So thanks, Mr. Bowes, for the video. We agree with the Senator. He can put his record up against anyone in the Senate and be proud of what he's done.

Alright Senator Kerry!
Damn right you don't run from anything.
Obviously, the question was in regards to Iraq, but it would be interesting to have the contents of the remarks directed at the senator too. He was so forceful in his response. It makes me wonder what was said.

Whew! Awesome clip!!! Thank you to John Bowes for video of that event. JK spoke with forthright candor, as always, and now it is available right here for anyone who wants to watch it. This is what KerryVision is all about!

With candor, absolutely, however much the media in 2004 did its self-interested best to muddy that image.
When media and opponents try to mischaracterize the Senator's record, I always ask what is so great about a blank slate promoted in others. Electability by a risk averse record benefits whom, and signals what kind of leadership or experience?
John Kerry has a history of talking truth to power, saying what we don't always want to hear, however diplomatically. He has also been ahead on the issues, laying out details, and naming names, irritating both sides of the aisle, as well as fostering co-operation with them.
This You are There potential of Kerry Vision, by and for the constituents most needing to know, is powerful.
Thanks, John Bowes, the KV team, and looking forward to Monday's broadcast.

Oh, yeah. That's my man. That's the guy I vounteered for, with pride, in 2004, the guy who's a great patriot and great senator, and the guy who's still out there fighting for us, with integrity, courage, and total commitment to bringing our country back.
The Czechs (part of Kerry's ancestry) have a saying, "Pravda zvitezi": Truth will be victorious.
That's what Kerry has always fought for, and what continues to spur him on. The truth will win, if we fight for it.
I want all of my fellow citizens to know not only the full truth of the disasters wrought by thie administration, but also the full truth of the courage and good deeds of John Kerry.
Thanks John Bowes, for the great video, and Kerry Vision for this lovely site.I'll tune in regularly to restore my hope and energy.

Here we have all these people running for president and the only person I search the web looking for any info on is John Kerry! As has already been said, he's still our man. If there was anyone out there that I thought was as competent, maybe I'd begin to get excited about one of these candidates. All the dems outshine the repubs, but none has the quality of leadership and vision that Kerry has. Luckily it's early, and when all is sorted out, who knows who our candidate will be. Until it's time to align with someone else, I'll just hope our guy gets drafted for Pres., or they'll discover that the 2004 election was fraudulent (which it was) -- Kerry won -- and he'll be installed in his rightful place. For now, this site keeps me ever hopeful about the truth coming out, and about us regaining our democracy through the tireless efforts of JK. Thank you again!

You tell 'em, Senator!

Wow! Thanks for that clip. That is beyond awesome. Think of all the years we've had to bring up the Kerry/Feingold amendment to uninformed people all over the blogosphere. That 20 sec clip may be a nice shorthand for our tired fingers on what the senator from Mass. has done to move the debate on Iraq forward.
