My Favorite Republican

Well, yesterday he was. It's a dirty little secret of mine, but I watch Joe Scarborough's show in the mornings. I used to watch Imus and had a love/hate thing going on with him, but now that he's off the air, it's Joe.

I tried CNN. And HNN, which I haven't watched since they hired the vile Glenn Beck and stopped being a Headline News Network. So I watch MSNBC mostly. They have Keith, too, so of the three, I like to support them when I can. Of course, when Tucker's on, I can't.

So, I was watching Joe this morning, and lo and behold, he's promoting an upcoming guest. My favorite Democrat.

I'm only sorry I don't have clip of Joe talking after the interview about how he'll take some heat from his Republican friends about his agreement with JK on Iraq. He explained that he has to, though, because Kerry is right on Iraq.

Of course he is, Joe.

Yesterday, Joe was my favorite Republican too. And, today he had on Gary Hart.I may just have to watch Joe more often. The whole interview yesterday was good. But, I didn't stick around to here the small talk afterwards, so I am real pleased to hear Joe Scarsborough say, Kerry is right on Iraq.
Thanks for the information!

Thank you for this post Kerstin. This is exactly why we are so glad this site is here. I never had that much respect for Scarborough before but this video with our man JK has changed everything for me. I will add him to my list of one (Keith Olbermann) for getting real news from my favorite member of congress. Joe S. leaped ahead with this interview, while Keith has yet (it seems) to realize who put out the best plan for leaving Iraq so long ago (JK), and who should be featured on his much watched program asap. Little by little, JK will be the one they seek out for his wisdom on this. What a great way to start this day.

Yes, it's also good to see Joe did his homework on the '71 speech. I hope all the conservatives out there LISTEN to their own stating that "the game is up", time to listen to some sensibility and not the garbage they're being spoonfed from the hard right.

Javelin-
Watch the KV weekly news from Monday in the sidebar. Scarborough asked JK about the '71 speech in that interview as well.
Fascinating how that one sentence made such an impact, isn't it?

Joe was one of those before primaries, during the dark days, who said not to count out Kerry. There weren't many. Kerry has a lot of respect from the other side of the aisle (and branch, also).

The general election presented all of them with the task of having to be very apologetic about, and gung-ho Bush, he's likable, and so on, as did Joe. I don't Joe being too trash talky about Kerry, but not really clear on that.

He and Chris Matthews enjoy being able to talk to him, now, agenda free. Kerry does know his stuff.
