Do you know what our soldiers are going through on a daily basis in Iraq?
Watch this powerful mini-documentary of twenty four hours in the lives of two battalions' soldiers.
These men and women witness and experience more horror and heartache than any of us experience in a lifetime. They are broken, pushed beyond their limits, dealing with criminals, clan infighting and jihadists in the midst of a terrified civilian population that does not speak the same language. This movie brings home so powerfully everything John Kerry has been talking about - that our troops are nothing but sitting targets now, caught in the middle of a war that has grown beyond them. A war that has left them behind in every way but dying for it.

That's incredibly powerful and so sad both for our men and women, overstretched and struggling to survive this occupation without a plan, and for the Iraqis like that poor old woman.
There's an interesting piece at the HuffPo about something Sen Kerry said on Olbermann the other day.
At the end of Paul Abrams' piece, there's a call to action:
"Now, John Kerry has broken the taboo. Politicians, bloggers, and MSM -- repeat, repeat, repeat, repeat, repeat."
The members of Congress who keep voting to continue this immoral war need to do what the soldier at the end of the video suggests. Walk a mile in their shoes, and then go vote.

Very powerful and so so sad. My heart aches for our soldiers and for the innocent Iraqis.
How can any politican say lets give it more time, lets wait for the next report ( which is filled with propaganda). Do they have no decency for human life other then use it as a political tool ?
My husband was called unpatriotic by a young republican in '04, my husband's response to him "if you support this war why aren't you over there?" The young republican spewed his excuses and walked away. My husband served for 20 years and he questions now, was it worth it?
This video should be seen by these college republicans http://www.huffingtonpost.com/max-blumenthal/generation-chickenhawk-t_b_56676.html. They need to go sit next to those brave soldiers and then be asked , do you still support this war ? They do not have an ounce of courage but they have a ton of cowardness and hypocrisy.

Oh my god. I knew it was bad over there, but seeing it up-close like this -- it's hard to imagine how these people can bear it. And this was just one small area in one day. I don't know how people in our government can be so psychologically messed up that they think *this* should just go on indefinitely.

Every member of Congress should be sent a copy of this catastrophe.
